A modern, web-based school tuition and billing management platform designed to automate recurring tuition fee generation, streamline digital payments, reduce payment arrears via automated WhatsApp notifications, and provide real-time financial transparency for school treasurers and administrators.

Key Features

  • Automated Recurring Billing Engine: Idempotent generation of monthly tuition (SPP) and ad-hoc school fees across academic years, with full support for student-specific discounts and scholarship overrides.
  • Midtrans Payment Gateway Integration: Multi-channel digital payment processing supporting Virtual Accounts (VA), QRIS, and e-wallets, backed by asynchronous signature-verified webhook handling for instant status reconciliation.
  • Automated WhatsApp Reminder Service: Queue-driven notification dispatch via WhatsApp API sending scheduled reminder messages (H-3, H-1, due date, and overdue follow-ups) directly to parents.
  • Self-Service Parent Portal & Digital Receipts: Dedicated portal for parents to inspect pending invoices, execute instant payments, and generate official downloadable PDF receipts.
  • Real-Time Financial & Arrears Analytics: Interactive dashboards and exportable financial reports (Excel/PDF) tracking class-level arrears, cash inflows, and historical collection metrics for school administrators and principals.

Technical Implementation

  • Developed using the TALL Stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel 11, Livewire 3) following clean Service-Action architecture, PSR-12 conventions, and native PHP 8 Enums for strict domain modeling.
  • Architected background queues (Laravel Queue) and scheduled cron tasks (Laravel Task Scheduling) to handle idempotent batch invoice generation, reliable notification dispatching, and webhook processing.
  • Implemented role-based access control (RBAC) via Spatie Laravel Permission separating access boundaries between Administrators, Treasurers, Principals, and Parents.
  • Integrated comprehensive transaction and notification logging (payment_gateway_logs, audit_logs, reminder_logs) ensuring auditability, dispute resolution, and zero financial discrepancies.
